HARRIS COUNTY, TX -- One person died late Monday night in Crosby after being struck by a vehicle while riding a bicycle, according to ABC13.
The incident unfolded in the 12800 block of Crosby Lynchburg Road at about 11:00 p.m.
Harris County Sheriff's Office officials said a man was riding a bike northbound on the road when he was hit from behind by an unknown vehicle that fled the scene before authorities arrived.
The victim, who deputies found lying in the roadway, was pronounced deceased at the scene. His identity has not been disclosed at this time.
Although the exact make and model of the suspect vehicle remains unknown, evidence recovered from the scene suggests a dark-colored truck or van.
No witnesses have come forward, but surveillance video from the area was being reviewed and an investigation remains ongoing.
