HOUSTON, TX - The Harris County Sheriff's Office responded to a fatal two-vehicle crash in the outbound lanes of US 290 near Barker Cypress Road yesterday morning, ABC 13 reports.
The collision occurred sometime around 6:30 a.m. on Thursday, August 24. The cause of the crash remains unclear at this time.
Responders pronounced one person dead at the scene.
One outbound lane remained open until about 8 a.m., when authorities closed it to aid in their investigations. They reopened a single lane by 9 a.m. It is unclear when full traffic was restored.
