HARRIS COUNTY, TX -- One person died Saturday evening, January 6, after their motorcycle collided with a vehicle that was pulling out of a driveway in Spring, according to the Harris County Sheriff's Office.
The fatal crash happened in the 3200 block of Louetta Road at 6:14 p.m.
A preliminary investigation found that the victim, Christopher Andrade, was driving a Harley Davidson motorcycle eastbound in lane 1 of the road's eastbound side. Sameer Salloum was behind the wheel of a Toyota Prius, which was facing north from a private driveway at 3203 Louetta Road. Authorities said Salloum failed to yield to the right-of-way before leaving the driveway to cross the road's eastbound lanes. While Salloum was attempting to turn left onto the road to head west on Louetta Road, the Toyota Prius's left side was hit by Andrade's motorcycle.
Andrade, who was found without signs of life following the impact, was pronounced deceased.
Salloum remained at the scene and cooperated with officials. Impairment is not a suspected factor in the crash.
The HCSO's Vehicular Crimes Division continues to investigate.
