HOUSTON, TX -- Authorities were called to a hit-and-run crash early Tuesday afternoon near Academy of Accelerated Learning Middle School in southwest Houston, according to the City of Houston Active Incidents page.
The incident was reported at 5999 Savoy Drive, the address for the campus, a few blocks northwest of the offramp for outbound Interstate Highway 69 (Southwest Freeway). Houston Police and Houston Fire Department crews responded to the scene shortly after 12:15 p.m.
While neither agency has disclosed the circumstances of the event, dispatchers listed the incident as a "major" collision in which one of the involved parties failed to stop and render aid ("FSRA").
No information indicating the conditions of the involved parties has been shared, and it remains unclear whether anyone had to be taken to a hospital.
