HOUSTON, TX -- A single-vehicle crash that took place New Year's Eve near Houston's Northside/Northline area claimed the life of a male driver, according to the Harris County Sheriff's Office.
The accident was reported in the 8600 block of Airline Drive on Sunday, December 31, at around 8:47 p.m.
Preliminary details indicate the victim was driving a blue BMW 328 southbound in lane 1 of the road when he failed to maintain a single lane. Shortly after, the BMW collided with a utility pole along the roadway's west side.
First responders pronounced the male driver and sole occupant deceased at the scene, confirmed officials.
No other parties or vehicles appear to have been involved.
