HOUSTON, TX – Jason C. McLaurin, founding attorney of McLaurin Law, PLLC, has been elected Treasurer of the Insurance Law Section of the State Bar of Texas for the 2026–2027 term, reflecting the confidence his peers place in his financial stewardship and professional standing.
The election was announced at the 23rd Annual Advanced Insurance Law Course held June 4–5, 2026, in San Antonio. As Treasurer, McLaurin joins the Section’s executive leadership team and assumes responsibility for overseeing the organization’s financial operations, including budgeting, investments, and fiscal management on behalf of the Section’s membership.
The Insurance Law Section of the State Bar of Texas is one of the largest and most active specialty sections within the State Bar, serving attorneys across Texas who practice in insurance law. Election to a Section officer role requires a demonstrated record of professional leadership and the trust of fellow practitioners.
