HOUSTON, TX -- A multi-vehicle crash has claimed at least one life Thursday morning on Interstate 610 in northwest Houston, reports KHOU11.
The accident was reported on the northbound side of I-610 (West Loop North Freeway) approaching the U.S. Highway 290 interchange. It was first verified by Houston Transtar at 10:49 a.m.
Houston Police Department officials have not shared any information pertaining to the cause or nature of the wreck, but a fatality was confirmed.
All northbound lanes of I-610 were shut down in the immediate aftermath. Motorists were warned of delays in the area as crews and investigators handled the scene.
