HOUSTON, TX -- One person died Sunday morning following a wrong-way collision near the Ship Channel in southwest Houston, according to ABC13.
The accident happened at the intersection of Central Street and K Avenue, in the Harrisburg/Manchester area.
Houston Police said one driver was traveling in the wrong direction on Central Street when their vehicle collided with another vehicle.
The driver who was heading in the right direction died from their injuries at the scene, confirmed officials.
First responders transported the wrong-way driver to a local hospital. No information regarding the extent of their injuries has been disclosed.
No other injuries have been reported, and an investigation remains open and ongoing.
